CWP 2024 – Clothes Swap Day

The youth services of the city of Porvoo, Visit Porvoo and Uusimaa will organize a Clothes Swap Day on September 21st 2024 at Haaga-Helia’s Porvoo Campus from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is part of the Clean World Porvoo event.

We bring together people who appreciate good-quality, durable clothes and want to exchange them with other like-minded people. Money doesn’t change hands here, only clothes. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about the sustainable use of clothes and textiles, as well as to save the environment and give clothes a new life.

The event focuses on clothes for young people and adults, and the event does not exchange children’s clothes or sports equipment.

Bring clothes that fit, are in excellent condition, for all sizes, genders and ages. Excellent condition means that the clothes are clean, ironed and free of tears, holes, stains or major defects. Only bring clothes you would be proud to give to a friend.

• Tops, shirts, blouses and jackets
• Pants, jeans and shorts
• Skirts, dresses and suits
• Belts, buckles, scarves and hats

All styles and brands are accepted as long as they are in excellent condition – so remember that items range from trendy clothes to older classics. Although we are happy to accept branded products, we cannot guarantee that everyone who brings a branded product will take home a matching piece.

The partner of the event is Goodwill Porvoo, where all leftover clothes in excellent condition will be delivered after the event.

1. Dig out items of clothing that are in good condition and are useless to you

2. Deliver your clothes to the collection points at the city’s youth facilities or sign up for a collection round using the form

3. At the collection points or during the collection round, you will receive exchange vouchers for clothes, which you can use to purchase clothes during the Clothes Swap Day

4. Come to the Clothes Swap Day on September 21st to Haaga-Helia Campus to find new favorite clothes!

Clothes can be delivered before the actual event to the youth centers of the city of Porvoo and to the Clean World Porvoo event at the following times:

Kantele-talo (Sammontie 3) 11-13 Sep Wed 2-8 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Fri 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Youth Centre Kertsi (Keskusaukio 1) 11.-13.9. Wed 1-8 p.m., Thursday 1-4.30 p.m., Fri 1-9 p.m.
Clean World Porvoo event at Art Factory (Läntinen Aleksanterinkatu 1) Thu 19 Sep 1-4.30 p.m.

Unfortunately, due to the required sorting and display of clothes, we no longer accept clothes on the day of the event.

In addition to the collection points, we organize a collection round and pick up the clothes from the address you indicate between 13 and 14 September.
