Laura Laurila’s exhibition examines the relationship between construction and what remains unbuilt, as well as the spatial experience of urban dwellers in and around the built environment. In her paintings, Laurila explores how many trees are left standing during construction processes, which areas are deemed wasteland, and where it has been considered appropriate to leave a small green space to enhance comfort.
