Selma Aurora Haro: I hear how the shadows speak
- 12.11.2024 - 24.11.2024
- 10:00 - 16:00
Selma Aurora Haros exhibition at the Gallery Vanha Kappalaisentalo is a multi-layered web of search, loss, hope and melancholy, which the visitor can fully immerse him-/herself in.
Selma Aurora Haro (born 1989) seeks and explores experiences of holiness and meaning in her artistic work. Life and art are connected in a process where sensitivity, intimacy, intuition, femininity and the experience of identification are in focus. Haro works around different art forms (painting, text, drawing, video, sound) and often builds up his works in the form of installations reminiscent of an altar. In addition to his own work, Haro works on the project Dear X/Y/Z together with his sister, visual artist Aino Aksenja. Haro’s work has been shown in many solo and group exhibitions in Finland, Estonia and Russia. The next exhibition will be a separate exhibition at Kulturhus Björkboda in May 2025.
The exhibition has received support from the Svenska Kulturfonden.
