Artist-in-residence

Dozens of professional artists from Finland and abroad visit the residency at the Art Factory each year. Visits are organised through open calls and in cooperation with various organisations. The activities are maintained by the Cultural Services of Porvoo.

The artist residency is located at the Art Factory on the west bank of the Porvoonjoki river. Approximately 20 artists and creatives work in the building. It is also home to Porvoo Art Hall, an art lending service, art and music classrooms, large event spaces, a cinema and restaurants.

The artist-in-residence programme at the Art Factory is an excellent experience for an artist who wants to work and live in an urban environment.

An open call for the residency is held each year in February. The next open call will take place in 2025.
